Bulldogs Conclude Alumni Weekend
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It's fall, but the Yale lacrosse team was on full display last weekend.
The Saturday alumni contest, held at Reese Stadium, saw over 30 former players suiting up against the current team in the Christian Prince Memorial game.
"The lacrosse tradition runs deep, and it's great to see older alumni talking with the younger guys," said senior Jonathan Reese '16, son of Yale lacrosse's all-time leading scorer Jon '90. "You have players from the 80's talking with the current players, so it shows the rich family tradition going on at Yale. It is a fun event for everyone to come together."
Other weekend events included the Association luncheon and alumni golf outing.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the 1990 team where the Elis achieved the best record in school history along with a NCAA Tournament semi-finalist appearance.
Players honored from the team included Jon Reese '90, Tony Guido '90, Bryan Martin '90, Jason O'Neill '90, Mark Parentis '90, Karl Wimer '90, Brian Walter '91, Dave Ryan '92, Kim Dunn '91, Scott Roberts '92, Josh McHugh '92, Clayton Simmers '92, Andy Schare '92, Jeff Curran '92, Chris Disimile '93, Mark Horney '91, Dean Charpentier '90, Peter Diminich '92, and Chris Swanenburg '90.
