Bulldogs Top Ivy League Pre-Season Rankings
Yale Ranked No. 1 By Lacrosse Magazine; No. 2 By Inside Lacrosse
BALTIMORE, Md. – Coming off an Ivy League Tournament Title and an NCAA Tournament appearance, Yale is Lacrosse Magazine's Ivy League pre-season favorite with Brown at No. 2 and Harvard at No. 3. The No. 1 pre-season ranking is Yale's highest since No. 3 in 2014.
Inside Lacrosse shook up the Ivy League with its recent pre-season coaches' poll by placing Cornell outside the top-four for the first time in team history.
After being ranked 5th in last year's pre-season Ivy League rankings, the Bulldogs moved to the second spot while Brown was picked No.1. Yale defeated the Bears in both meetings last season.
In addition, sophomore attackman Ben Reeves (Macedon, N.Y.) and senior defenseman Michael Quinn (Port Washington, N.Y.) earned more honors from Inside Lacrosse. Both are pre-season all-conference after recently being named pre-season All-Americans.
The Bulldogs begin play on Feb. 20 at UMass-Lowell before their home-opener on Feb. 27 against Maryland.
