Quinn and Reeves Pre-season All-Americans
BALTIMORE, Md. – Two members of the Yale men's lacrosse team earned pre-season All-American honors by Inside Lacrosse. Senior defenseman Michael Quinn (Port Washington, N.Y.) received first-team honors, while sophomore attackman Ben Reeves (Macedon, N.Y.) made the third team.
Quinn and Reeves were key in helping Yale reach the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four years after winning the 2015 Ivy League Tournament Title.
Last season, Quinn was named third-team All-American, first-team All-New England, first-team All-Ivy, and was part of the Ivy League's All-Tournament Team. The senior captain helped the Bulldogs rank ninth in the nation in defense, allowing only 8.11 goals a game. Quinn also caused a team-high 16 turnovers.
Reeves, the 2015 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, set Yale's freshman scoring record with 43 points (25 goals, 18 assists). He was second-team All-New England and received Ivy League All-Tournament honors. Reeves started all 16 games as a freshman and was the team's second highest scorer.
