Bulldogs Ranked No. 10
Four Ivy Teams in the Top-20
BALTIMORE, Md. – For the sixth consecutive season, the Yale men's lacrosse team is ranked in the preseason top-20. Inside Lacrosse released its 2016 Face-off Yearbook where the Bulldogs are picked No. 10; tying their highest preseason ranking from 2014.
Yale faces five top-20 teams in 2016 including No. 4 Maryland, No. 9 Brown, No. 11 Albany, No. 14 Harvard, and No. 15 Cornell. Last season, Yale was ranked as high as No. 6 and finished with the Ivy League Tournament Title, an NCAA Tournament appearance, and an 11-5 record.
The Elis lost 11 players to graduation but return All-American senior defenseman Michael Quinn(Port Washington, N.Y.) and two All-New England players in junior midfielder Eric Scott (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and sophomore attackman Ben Reeves (Macedon, N.Y). Quinn also received All-New England honors, while Reeves was the 2015 Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
The season opens on Feb. 20 when the Bulldogs travel to UMass-Lowell.
